City had evacuation plan but strayed from strategy

    IT'S BUSH'S FAULT.....NO, NO....IT'S FEMA'S FAULT!!!
Look at all the pretty yellow buses under water and explain to me how the hell it's not the city and states fault!

City officials had 550 municipal buses and hundreds of additional school buses at their disposal but made no plans to use them to get people out of New Orleans before the storm, said Chester Wilmot, a civil engineering professor at Louisiana State University and an expert in transportation planning, who helped the city put together its evacuation plan.

But you see, those buses wouldn't even be under so much water in the first place had the levees been allowed the money requested to reinforce them, which didn't happen only because Bush decided to spend it murdering Iraqis instead. Just because the mayor fucked up something too doesn't excuse the Bush administration's gross negligence, nor does it excuse FEMA's flat-out denial of necessary aid to the needy. If there's any lesson to be learned from all this, it's that bureaucracy kills.

Yipper, I suppose the Feds could come in and wipe everyones ass for them and wipe off all their little noses too! It was the CITIES responsibility to take care of THEIR people! The levy was rated for a catagory 3 and it seemed from watching the tube all concerned in the N.O. area thought that was more than sufficient. What the hell, blame Bush, the war, whatever!
I will agree though that FEMA was dragging its feet and I would imagine that there will be changes.

Well, the Bush administration is the one that's deciding to spend all these huge amounts of money furthering imperialist invasions abroad. Those things aren't cheap you know, you have to really cut back on social spending at home to support the giant cancerous tumor on the world known as the US military. That's why the levees weren't fixed. There just wasn't enough money to allot to them, because of the neocon death campaign in the Middle East. No amount of trying to pin the blame on city officials can change that.

"Hi, I'm United States Code TITLE 50, Chapter 34. I'm a collection of laws and executive orders that give broad powers to the president during times of national emergency. It's my job to be put into effect to trump state and local laws in such times in order to gain a more effective and efficient handling of situations too large for anyone else to deal with."

"Some argue that I have the strong potential to be abused. And while that's true, no one can argue that I'm not able to act quickly and save lives because of the size and scope of the federal ability to respond."

    "Please use me."

And whats all this anti-this and that shit have to do with "City had evacuation plan but strayed from strategy" which happens to be the topic. Is it so hard to admit that Bush and friends had nothing to do with the initial mess which cost lives? And people say the the conservatives are so narrow minded!!

Yup, and If Bush and company would have bypassed the Governor...who wasn't doing shit...the Mayor....who wasn't doing shit...and sent in the Military to clear the city all these people would have been screaming on how the industrial military complex just implemented Marshall Law in New Orleans!! Shit, Pisshead would have got a hard-on about that shit!!
