MG kills THC
I am sure you will find people who say this and people who say bullshit.
I dont think it 'kills' THC but it probably does keep the plant from expressing its true genetic potential.

I've seen photos of buds grown with Miracle Grow that would rival anything grown with anything else. It all depends on who's using it. Most of the time though it's new growers and they misuse it and it burns the plant and right away people start yelling foul. It just takes extra care and extra steps to keep a plant as healthy as it can be. Once you know those steps and follow them and know what to do if a problem arises, you could grow monster buds that'll blow most people away. So why doesn't that happen more and you hear of lots of people talking of how well Miracle Grow worked for their grow? Because most people as they get more and more into this 'hobby' start looking for the newest and most 'advanced' product offered. Just like any other hobby enthusiast. You don't get into radio control airplanes with an old balsa and tissue plane and use the oldest controllers they have for very long. You use it for awhile then get the kick ass F-18 with the most advanced controller known to man! Same with this hobby. You start out with one 60 watt incandescent bulb and a seed from some ditch weed you saw growing along the highway and watering it every day and feeding it gobs of Miracle Grow cause that's what was sitting in the garage, to hydroponics, the best seeds you can buy, 1000's of watts of hid's hanging all over the place and the very best organic fertilizers known to man. Sorry. I get sort of windy sometimes.

The Nitrogen (N) in Miracle Grow is a type (synthetic) that is harsher than an organic N. Easier to burn a plant if you don't know what you're doing. It also is projected to leave salts in the soil that are hard to flush out if need be. Although I believe all fertilizers will leave salts or residue of some type in the soil.
As for 'everyone' saying it's no good? Depends on what web site you're on. On another site I asked about the same type of question and a lot of people came to the defense of chemical/synthetic fertilizers. But most were experienced growers that knew what they were talking about and could probably grow mj on a slab of concrete.
The 15-30-15 can be looked at as 1-2-1 also I believe. But that might be different for different types of fertilizers or areas of the country. I believe it's just showing you what percentages each ingredient has as compared to the others. And of course the 15-30-15 would be better suited for flowering or just getting started with flowering because of the higher percentage of Phosphorous (P) which is represented by the second number.
At least that's my take on it all. And I'm no expert. Just learnin'.

MG soil is far worse than MG nutes. I have used MG nutes and won't again. But the real MG problem is the soil.
MG soil contains fertilers that are time released and thus you have no way to control the feeding....as everytime you water, you nute.
MJ doesn't need or want nutes evertime its watered.
MJ doesnt need or want timed release nutes.
Why would MJ need or want nutes as a seedling and even up to week 3???
Over ferting I suspect is the cause of more MJ grows problems than all others combined.
There are some strains I suppose that will indeed flourish under these conditions. But they are the exceptions and not the rule.

mg soil sucks major but i use mg ferts and have for decades with excellent results (pics in the gallery with more coming from this year's grow). i cut what the directions call for in half and use only every 2-3 weeks and never use anything on plants for the 1st 3-4 weeks. i have used fox farms and bought expensive shit from the local grow supply shop but nothing i've used has worked as well consistantly as mg. for flowering, i use bloom or super bloom and once again, at half strength and only once every 2-3 weeks...so they only get ferted twice during each phase of the process.
btw, the above is for my outdoor grows. indoors i use a weaker strength fert like "age old organics". it's fairly expensive but perfect for indoors...for me anyway.
