I personally don't support either side. But I'm just saying, the country isn't all that big, if I were in their shoes I wouldn't give up any more than I had to.

Its not just about the land, its how Israel treats the Palestinians. Not only do children have to go to school everyday in fear that some Isreali sniper might shoot them, but they're not entitled to the same benefits as Isrealis. They live in ghettos, have their houses demolished, just because they're not Jewish. The number of Palestinian deaths far surpass Isreali deaths, and this is never covered. People rightly criticize muslim countries for following religious laws and discriminating minorities, but what about Isreal??? They say Isreali is a democracy but how can a "jewish state" be a democracy? you either try to perserve the Jewish character of the state or allow equal representation with Palestinians, which would defeat the purpose of a Jewish state. Of course they have no intention of making peace with Palestinians.

Yes, but in recent history the Palestinians were the majority, and they're homes were taken away and they still are.A good parallel would be the Native Americans having they're land taken away when the Europeans began colonializing America. The American government had no intention of keeping their treaties. Ever heard of manifest destiny?

think of the 200,000 as an investment...kinda like america sustaining the saddam regime until they were ready to get their oil.
