In 1hr I have to watch my best friend bury his mom...
high all,
What a bummer of a day. In about an hour, I have to go see my best friend of 15 years bury his mother. She's been fighting lung cancer for 2yrs and it finally got herJust another statistic. She was only 47yrs old.
What do I say to him though? I have a hard time expressing my sympathy to him and I'm the kind of guy who laughs at a funeral (out of nervousness). It will be hard, very hard, as they were very close. The worst part is, his mothers parents have to bury their daughter. She should have lived for another 25-30yrs. It will be hard, hard indeed.Nochowderforyou Reviewed by Nochowderforyou on . In 1hr I have to watch my best friend bury his mom... high all, What a bummer of a day. Sometimes it is hard to know what to say - but by just being there for him, and listening to what he needs to say, that will be supportive enough. Many of us get nervous and awkward at funerals - obviously anything surrounding death bothers us because it makes us face our own mortality.
Just be there for your friend - that's the best you can do.

Yeah, I had to go to my gradma's funeral about a month 1/2 ago .My dad's mom,it was the hardest fueral to go to.And my dad and grandfather really loved her. When she was in the hospice, everyone saw her,but she was gone totally incapacitated. My sister was the one that was there for the last breath.I don't know, sometimes just the idea of haveing someone there who isn't just family(your friend) is good enough.Cause I know my dad's best friend was there. And yeah funerals are a ritual signifying our own mortality. The only sighn if immortatlity isthey way we keep procreating and passing down the genetic pool for generations to generations to come (o.k. way too deep) But anywho,a friend is a friend indeed.Make him laugh.
