One tiny little problem, they might feel obliged to nuke us back. And what about the billion people in mainland China? Is their freedom less important than that of those in Taiwan? Do you propose an invasion of China? Or of Iran? Invade them with what, exactly? The US Army is kinda busy for the next few years. Sure you can bomb their nucleur facilities, but they will no dought rebuild them, and have an even worse attitude when they do.
