without Pics or a more detailed explenation it is Kind of Hard to make a guestimation..
sometimes i will have a few spots of a fungus that appears due to humidity.
everyone deals with it differently.
some will remove the entire Branch.
But I just remove the damaged area's and be carefull not to spread the spores of the fungus infected parts to uninfected parts.
a steady hand and maybe water in the mornings only would help a bit.
But i dont know your scedule and like i said I'm only guessing.
