Dont let this guy get away with this. I know the feeling of the no sleep thing. You need to take care of this right away. Take someone with you and confront him. If he wont give it back beat his ass real good. It will be like lifting a cinder block off your chest. If you let this slide you will have other people fucking you over. Dont be known as a guy that can be ripped off. Make sure all your friends here about it. Give him a real good beating. This will never happen to you again. At least not from a friend.

Revenge is always good but you have to cover yourself such that you won't get any heat and he doesn't try to get back at you (an endless revenge cycle sucks). If I were you I'd stay casual friends with the guy and then one day tell him about a secret grow of yours (one or two plants planted especially just to fuck him). Tell him one morning you are going to harvest tonight at 4:00am and tell him the location. He'll try to steal it before 4:00am of course. Go with a buddy or two and wear fake cop outfits (use a fake voice and maybe a fake beard so he won't recognize you) and wait for him to come that night. Fake "busting him" and tell him you'll let him off if he eats his own shit right there in front of you (or whatever act you think that you can make him do that he feels is better then prison). After making him suffer let him go, harvest those plants, and never let him know it was you and your buddies who were pretending to be the cops.
No need for violence. Enjoy a satisfying revenge knowing you can take advantage of him when he tries to fuck you again.
