    Slow growth?...

Im using an 80w flor (4ft long) about 5" above the plant... and a 100w UV+B Iguana light about 3' above it, all light is bent towards it with tin foil... Im using expensive potting soil... omigrow I think it was called. It gets about 18 hours of light a day, It gets watering when the soil starts to feel dry... Im using collected rain water, and liquid vitamin b drops, 2 drops per cup of water. In the future if and when I run short of rain water, I'll use tap that has sat for over 48hrs.

Its about 8 days old. The plant is about 4" high with small rounded baby leaves, 3.. It only seems to grow taller and the leaves don't seem like there doing much of anything. There are no discolored spots, any signs of overfeed or malnutrition.

Am I doing anything wrong? Or should I give it some more time?

I planted 2 just sprouted/cracked seeds in their own pots next to the current one. and I will be adding another 100w UV+B light. The plant Im questioning about is Cola.

Sounds like they are stretching a bit. CHeapest thing you can do is head to a home depot or lowes and grab the cheapest regular fluros you can get. If you can only get one.....put it right over top...2 inches or less away from the plants. No heat so you have no problems there. Best bet would be one on top and one on either side. In seedling stage they can be left on for 24/7 cycle. After they get a little bigger then you can switch to 18 /6/ These lights go for about 19 bucks each. Also all you need is the cheapest BLUE fluros you can find....dont waste money on the SUNLIGHT ones that run about 6 bucks. Also a fan gently blowing on them will help strengthen the stems. NO NUTES OR ANYTHING ON THEM UNTIL WEEK 3....and even then it should be in a very diluted form. Good luck Opps also Superthrive works great when starting out....its not a nutrient so you can add a few drops to the water....really helps the roots develop.

Why are you using reptile heat lamps?

They are a waste of electricity for MJ plants.

The UV-B rays are good during flowering when used in a 1:2 ratio with HPS but why the heat during veg? You would be better off with an MH in veg.

You would be better off serving your plants another Floro tube.

Also, you dont mention your pH for water. Rain water is not as clean as it was even 20 years ago and I wouldnt feed it to any indoor plants without filtering it first.

Many many polllutants in rain water now adays.

I'll check the pH of the water I currently use, I need to run over to a pool store or Walmart to get one.
I just quick read up on the UV+B lights and being I have a few bulbs from when I had Izzy (my pet water dragon)
I removed the UV+B light and added 2 more floro lights. I'll get pics of my current set up in a lil-bit.

The top leavse are starting to show individualism, as in, the round leaf is splitting up. I think its ok, I just need to keep it lighted well and give it time.
Just looks alot different then everyone elses pix, so I got a lil concerned.

The pH of the water im using is 5.9 untreated with vitamin drops.

I guess I'll keep a lil update going. My friend and myself will be working on a room, 15x15 feet...
Im gonna grow some Heavenly Blue morning glory seeds in the back yard soon.
