No, you didn't sound arrogant. Hopefully, you'll figure out what will make you happy. I hope you do rethink college because it may not seem like what you want to do now, but someday, you may regret it. I didn't go and now I am taking a course at almost 30 with a family and it's hard. I wish I would've done it after high school, instead of going to trade school (what the hell was I thinking?).

As far as religion goes, I still don't have that all sorted and I'm not worried. There are lots of people who post on these boards that feel the same as you and I. I just keep trying to learn about different faiths until I come up with something that makes sense to me.

You are a very smart 17 year old and have a good head on your shoulders. Keep dreaming and change the world in whatever little way you can to make it a better place...it's really all you can do. And don't let anyone tell you that you have to give up cannabis to be a success! That's bullshit. As long as you are motivated, you can achieve anything.

PS. I hope the "old" Jersey is a lot better than the new one!

I agree with that you're being realist not pessimistic, and the world basically does suck adn things don't run as they should etc. etc. Honestly this is a big part of the reason I like doing drugs, who cares about being in reality when reality is way more fucked up than any drug can make you anyway.

No. You aren't a freak. People do different things when they are stoned. I know some people who do nothing but play video games or watch cartoons. I like to read when I'm high as well. When you are high your imagination really soars. So I can see why you like reading about philosophy. Philosophy is just ideas and usually it's very hard to understand.
