NY Times reprinted without contradiction Bush's false claim that nobody...
America is the greatest country on this planet. That said, there is a lot of really fucked up shit going on in America. It seems the Neo-Cons seem to always be able to completely control the media since it's in their pocket. I sit down daily just to see the utter bullshit that O'reilly and Hannity spew. In 1953 a break in the dikes and seawalls in the Netherlands killed 1,835 people and forced the evacuation of 70,000 more. Ten thousand animals drowned, and 4,500 buildings were destroyed. To prevent such a tragedy from happening again, an ambitious flood defense system was conceived and deployed, called the Delta Works (Dutch: Deltawerken). It's just a goddam shame that politicians wait to legislate corrections to enormous problems until there is blood all over the place.

NY Times reprinted without contradiction Bush's false claim that nobody "anticipated the breach of the levees" In a September 2 article headlined "Government Saw Flood Risk but Not Levee Failure," The New York Times printed without challenge President Rating: 5
