Me and my girlfriend are planning a trip to amsterdam soon. We plan on going sometime next month for about 4 days. We haven't been before, so could do with some recomendations.
Who can tell us;
Which coffee shops are best in terms of bud/food/music and atmosphere
and some advice on good hotels, that wouldn't mind if we smoked in our room.

I've never been to amsterdam but i've watched a documentary on the place and they showed a lot of caffes int he area if you have comcast on demand go to free movies, scroll down , and watch it. Its a good show I hope you enjoy your trip.

The hookers in Amsterdam are great, none of them have STD's & they're all checked on a regular basis. I'd have sex with all of them if i were you. It's safe & you have nothing to lose.

i would advice you to stay away from the african prostitutes,they are slaves that are not checked and usually have brought with them a flurry of symptoms and problems.

Man I love reading all your posts. Stick to coffeeshops, no street buying. Amsterdam, yours are the posts I like.

I lived in Germany for more than ten years and went to A'dam a lot. It's a cool place! "Smoking cafes" - where one can buy soft drugs - display a marijuana leaf in the window or on their sign. Most common are the Bulldog and the (real) Hardrock.

As for the hotels, it's A'dam, man, of course you can smoke!!!! Best bets are the small hotels rather than the international chains for atmosphere. Remember, though, you're not in Kansas anymore and the hotels are somewhat small and cramped.

Enjoy your trip! Get smoked up and then wander the Red Light District! And hey, man ... smoke one for me while you're there!
