If you want to risk it it would be a good idea to put the weed into a sealed enviroment such as seal-a-meal or something.That will illiminate the odor.Then use a small box and lots of fluffy packing peanuts or something.I have used a small glass vase before with the weed air tight in seal-a-meal then put the weed in the vase and packed like I suggested above.
I don't do it often but it has worked.
