The main reason the Bible is around is because its followers have not studied it closely enough to find the proof that Jesus was a fraud, and like all religions they indoctrinate their children from birth into believing that it is true simply because their own parents indoctrinated them similarly. They are scared from seriously questioning the beliefs of the Bible for fear of eternal punishment (even though the universe is supposedly ruled by an infinitely forgiving being...go figure).
