Isn't 265 CFM way too much??

    any help please. . .

Just about everything I\'ve seen about shade pole fans or squirrel cage--exhaust fans anyways--the people are using 180, usually 265 cfm or more. If the supposedly widely accepted formula is cu ft (l x w x h) / 5 and your high and think of the equation backwards. . .

265 x 5 = 1325 cu ft. . . isn\'t that the size room a 265 cfm cage fan room would support cleaning the air every five minutes???

or that it would theoretically clean out a 13 cu ft fridgegrow 20 times per minute???

I know you want more often than every five minutes, but don\'t you have to give the CO2 a little chance to mingle???

As long as fresh air is coming in, so is CO2.

    Yeah thanks Harrdon. . .

I guess new air is new C02. Still Im not going past 10 changes per minute, seems it would be more likely to cause a burnout--of the exhaust fan.

It also depends on how hot the roopm is.
If you have a 1000 watt bulb in a 4x4x7 closet (112 cubic feet)
A 285 CFM fan is not to much. Especiually if you hook the timer of to a thermostat switch. example - http://www.plantitearth.com/store/pr...id=133&catid=5

On a grand scale, you can use a 2000cfm exhaust fan on a 10x10x12 room (1200cubic feet). You should know, that when this fan turns on it will be difficult to open and close the door to your room.... very difficult... a fan like this will change thwhole dynamic of air flow in a house even a large house. Dust from chimmneys and crawl spaces can come into your house... yuck!!!!

Thats a pretty cool feature for the price-could probably get it cheaper if it werent on a green site but it wouldnt have a cord.
