 Are these signs?Yeah, you're right about the monkeys. My bad. To my knowledge, the oldest anthropods were called Eosimias, and lived about 42 million years ago. Their fossils indicate they lived in trees and resembled monkeys, except they were smaller. Because the family hominids have an anthropoid ancestor, and the oldest primates like Eosimias were like monkeys, I think it is fair to say we evolved from a monkey-like ancestor that eventually diverged to monkeys and hominoids.  . Also it doesnt HAVE to be a sea dwelling creature (the transitional for lizard/mammal) it just happens to be. One mutational difference and it might have been completely different. The lungfish is a classic Evolutionists arguement for that particular point.(so many different kinds of them too
