I'm Muslim so we don't drink alcohol or take any intoxicants.

With cigarattes/tobacco initially not much was known, so tobacco was given a "disliked" rating cause it smelled bad. Now it's known that tobacco causes cancer and so on, now it's given a "forbidden" rating.

From what I've read so far, cannabis is not an intoxicant. So the question is, does it cause damage like tobacco?
