Question: Cannabis High VS Alcohol Drunk

    Assalamu alaikum and Hello

I'm not sure if this the right place to post a question, sorry about that.

When you are high on Cannabis, is it like being drunk with alcohol?

Does regular Cannabis use make you lazy?

    Thanks!

Question: Cannabis High VS Alcohol Drunk

Being high is NOTHING....i repeat NOTHING like being drunk...And no it doesnt make you lazy, but if you are lazy its very easy to blame the weed.
I would say the majority of the people here prefere to smoke than to drink.

Question: Cannabis High VS Alcohol Drunk

    they are very different
when you are drunk you have a lot less control and are alot more likely to be sick, say stupid things and just make a fool of yourself
being stoned, youre in control, theres so much more to it, but i cant explain..

Question: Cannabis High VS Alcohol Drunk

it depends on your own mind.. do you think youll get addicted?
its certainly not physically addictive, mentally it can get to a few people but they do ask for it..
but anyway, id say its less addictive then caffeine..

Question: Cannabis High VS Alcohol Drunk

I think it's pretty much impossible to explain being high to someone who has only experienced alcohol. Some people do have a problem with addiction (I have a small problem getting over the first dry day but after that there's no problem) but it's all mental.

yeh i wondered if that was common
the only time i feel addicted, is when i actually have some, strange it seems, but when ive got some, i smoke it, want/buy more and smoke more but when i wake up after a heavy night of smoking all my weed and have none left, i feel no addiction at all, and could go from that day, to the end of my life without smoking

of course im not going to though

Question: Cannabis High VS Alcohol Drunk

    Thanks for your replies.

I don't drink alcohol due to religious observance.

So there's no "cold turkey" thing?

Question: Cannabis High VS Alcohol Drunk

Not really. You can become what they call "psychologically addicted". Which basically means you don't want to stop because you enjoy it, and when you're not high maybe you wish you were. But this is not the same as being phsyically addicted to caffeine, nicotine, alcohol or any other truely addictive substance. You can become psychologically addicted to pretty much anything that changes your state of mind in even an obscure way (excercise, food, or even doing math...).

No, I disagree. You can be physically addicted to weed, you just have to be careful not to go crazy with it. Yes, psychological addiction is more likely, but when you start suffering from insomnia, feel anxious, get night sweats and get jittery, not to mention loss of appetite, EVEN WHEN WEED ISNT ON YOUR MIND AND YOU STOP WANTING TO SMOKE, then, what else can it be? Those are physical withdrawal symptoms, and if I smoke a bunch of weed then stop cold turkey, I start suffering from those symptoms. And lets not kid ourselves. This happens to a lot of people, many of whom I personally know. They need it everyday just to go to sleep. That said, cigarette withdrawal symptoms can be much worse.
