I'd say the governor of LA and the mayor of New Orleans are the ones that really dropped the ball.

Excuse me but when have I ever gotten a break in taxes like all of the top 3% of this stupid country I work fucking 50+ hours a week and I still haven't gotten to the tax break line. What do I have to do? Okay tell me because I'm already killing myself at work AND school first of all ghost do you live in the US? Because you don't pay attention if you do. the media and all that anyone ever sees is like the top 15% of society (except when they're interviewing the family of drive by victims and shit) I live in a small town 60k people and i was talking with a cop a while ago and he was telling my how they don't even bother trying to control the gangs because its just not possible for them to do that? also my state is like 2nd or 3rd LOWEST in education out of the whole country, where the fuck does that $150 out of ever fucking one of my paychecks go??????? Well??? How come I don't have health care? Because to get it i would have to pay $$ that i don't have! Fuck this place in a few years I'm buying a one way ticket to new zealand or something. somewhere where we don't have inbred hicks with the power to destroy the world. sheesh fuck this place.....land of opportunity my rectum!

Nope, daZenfmeister, i'm not from the US, mate. I'm from the UK.

Can I ask a question, though? Why are you telling me about taxes and stuff? I was just saying that looseends is talking shit when she said that "if you're not part of the solution then SHUT THE HELL UP CAUSE YOU'RE PART OF THE PROBLEM". Judging by that statement, anybody who isn't helping to cure cancer is actually responsible for cancer.

What are we going to do to help? What can we as Cannabis.com members do to make sure that this shit doesn't happen again? How can we help? Some of us don't have any money (such as myself) we can give a blanket we don't need. Pack some of those old clothes and shoes for someone to pick-up. Hell, if I had some extra smoke I'd give them some. I mean hell, have you seen the bodies floating in the fucking water. That's somebody's father, brother, mother or sister and they can't get to them because they're still into research and recovery.

that mother fucker has been on vacation for damn near the whole year, don't tell me he's 'doing the best he can'. fuck him!
it's alright though, soon enough he'll be out of office.
secondly, nobody's forcing you to read threads on the board, you have the control on what your eyes scan and your fingers click.

even if we can't do anything to help that doesn't prevent us from discussing the matter at hand. we all learn from situations like these, regardless if we're involved or not.
the hurricane victims had approximately two days to evacuate the state, that is not nearly enough time.
that's all i have to say.

Personally, I think the place for politics is the politics forum. Politics can be argued FOREVER because the arguments are not based on facts. It ultimately degrades into personal attacks.

Fuck the US I think we fucking deserved this shit, I don't claim to deserve the life that I have though, and I've had a pretty shitty life I've been poor as fuck for the majority of my life but now I'm working my ass off to make a better life for myself. Besides in 5 years no one will remeber this hurricane. Just like alot of people have already stoped thinking about the tsunami. I think that this hurricane is all part of natural selection.

P.S. I know I've pissed alot of people off with that post and I dont care its my freaking opinion.
I dont see how anyone deserves this to happen to them, if this is your thinkin then perhaps south africans deserved to live the way they do?
Im sure everyone in the world feels for africa, if countries like the UK and the US didnt give what we do then africa would be in a worse state than it is, but lets not forget that most of these african countries are corrupt as fuck and money we send buys some african warlord a private jet or something!

Also people hate Bush and Blair cos of going into Iraq and im not sayin i fully agree with the war but there are thousands of Iraqis that fled saddam and came to my country lookin for a better life, well they wernt leaving there for nothing so surely something had to be done? (one iraqi pal i was at school with told me mad shit about how his uncles just disappeared one day without a trace to prison or something but his family still wernt sure where they were!!!

    Fuck Bush.

FEMA should've executed a better contigency plan. If people are too poor to leave, the government should've prepared and gotten them a ride out of town.

Bush, his administration, the governor, and mayor are all to blame. Total government meltdown.

    Again, FUCK BUSH.

Failing to prepare is preparing to fail.

Isn't that something that you should've been taught?

An evacuation of a city falls under federal jurisdiction. Isn't that why they take 30% of my check?

Oh that's right, you still get a refund son, why the fuck would a snob like you give a shit?
