First Time Salvia Question

Hello there, I was checking out the forums and other websites (erowid) and came upon salvia. Now, I have never done illegal drugs ('cept alcohol) but I have smoked cigarettes (a few) and a hookah. I was thinking of ordering the 10x extract from salviasupply, would you guys recommend this? And I have a corncob pipe hehe but I was thinking of making a water pipe with a 20oz soda bottle or something, would this be a good way to smoke the stuff?

Don't recommend it much for people who've never even gotten high -- it's uncomfortable for people who are INTO psychedelics...

I'm actually very curious to try salvia myself. I've never tried it, but I ordered some last week. I have heard extremely mixed reviews about it. I have read positive reviews/experiences online, but everyone I know in real life that has tried it says that I should stay away. I ordered 5x just because I'm nervous about how crazy it might be.

From what I've read/heard, it needs to be smoked out of a bong with a torch lighter, and that you should probably be with someone who is not smoking it so they can keep you in check if you start freaking out. But I think I'll be OK with the 5x. Any suggestions/recommendations?

You don't need a torch lighter but a water pipe is best for getting the whole dose in. They say you should consume the whole dose within 30 seconds so you can't keep hitting a pipe like you would with weed. The reality brought on by Salvia is fairly intense. I have done it a few times now and while it is fascinating it isn't really enjoyable. A Salvia trip starts instantly and you really don't realize what is happening. I remember as the effects started to come on I began having a coversation with a lamp that was clear across the room like it was a normal thing. But again, not euphoric at all, just weird and confusing.

Salvia seems to be something a lot of people do once and then end up giving the rest of their extract away.

What do you mean in 30 seconds? I don't like bongs that much, i have a homemade pipe that i smoke everything with. Why can't i use that? and how long does the trip last?

Yes, you can use a pipe, but you need to take the biggest hit possible, and hold it as long as possible. The trip is very short, a few minutes, but it is very, very intense. Be sitting down when you do it, and have someone with you.
