    The KKK...

    After having a conversation about white-supremacy with a friend, I looked up the Ku Klux Klan on Wikipedia, and found something I thought was pretty interesting.....

    Apparantly, in 1867, when the Klan was formalised as a national organisation, they set out their purposes and intents, which were;

    • First: To protect the weak, the innocent, and the defenseless from the indignities, wrongs and outrages of the lawless, the violent and the brutal; to relieve the injured and oppressed; to succor the suffering and unfortunate, and especially the widows and orphans of the Confederate soldiers.

    • Second: To protect and defend the Constitution of the United States ...

    • Third: To aid and assist in the execution of all constitutional laws, and to protect the people from unlawful seizure, and from trial except by their peers in conformity with the laws of the land.

    It's funny how anybody can use the same 'principles' to justify their actions, no matter how terrible their actions are...

    Discuss. lol

    that's some pretty eye opening shit.

    the kkk, like communism..and even early nazism all have admirable goals and agendas.

    but when complacency is allowed to happen,it almost always leads to corruption.

    just like the u.s. war. people talk of freedom but then its not quick or fast enough for them, so they cut corners and take shortcuts.

    so they bomb people to get them scared and they torture people to get what they want.

    all the while, torog amster and psycho eats it up thinking he's supporting the right thing.

    cognitive dissonance to all, and to all a good night!

    The KKK...

    The first branch of the Ku Klux Klan was established in Pulaski, Tennessee, in May, 1866. A year later a general organization of local Klans was established in Nashville in April, 1867. Most of the leaders were former members of the Confederate Army and the first Grand Wizard was Nathan Forrest, an outstanding general during the American Civil War. During the next two years Klansmen wearing masks, white cardboard hats and draped in white sheets, tortured and killed black Americans and sympathetic whites. Immigrants, who they blamed for the election of Radical Republicans, were also targets of their hatred. Between 1868 and 1870 the Ku Klux Klan played an important role in restoring white rule in North Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia.

    You'll have to remember, though, that the Republicans used to be the liberals way back when. It's funny how they've gone from calling themselves "radical" to espousing the reactionary agenda they have today.
