Quick thought..
I jus saw mellow mood's signature ("It's not a war on drugs, it's a war on personal freedom"), which is a quote by Bill Hicks, and it got me thinking. Perhaps the War On Drugs isn't what we think it is. I'll explain what I mean...
Hitler controlled millions of people by either scaring the shit out of them or by promising them a better future. He did it blatantly and obviously, and what he did was wrong. The whole world saw it was wrong and stopped him. There have been loads of other instances where governments have tried to control people by different means, and alot of the time they get stopped because people see that it is wrong.
So maybe the War On Drugs, in reality, has nothing to do with drugs. Maybe it's just a test, a test to see if we can be made to control ourselves, to see how much we will take, how many freedoms we can be convinced to give up. Make drugs be looked down up by society, and society will try to get rid of them, whether it's infringing on our personal freedoms or not.
I'm too stoned to type out the rest of what I mean, and I got distracted... I don't think what I have typed makes much sense, but i'll assume that it does and that you get the point.
If you think about the War On Drugs like this it makes the Cannabis movement even more vital. Not only are we 'fighting' for our right to do whatever the fuck we want as long as it doesn't harm anyone, we're also telling the decision makers that we can see through all their lies and 'tests'. If we say NO to this, and say it loudly, then they'll get the message that they can't push us around for much longer.
Okay, I give up.. May try and re-type/think later.GHoSToKeR Reviewed by GHoSToKeR on . Quick thought.. when freedom is taken by force it can be taken back by force. When freedom is given up willingly, it can never be regained. ...... drugs are worth more money when they're illegal why would the government give that up?

Yes ghost but keep this in mind.
Being trapped by knowing that, seeing it for what it is, and being FORCED to manipulate poeple into fighting against a "wrong" socio-political controll tool.
To make poeple do what is right for them means making them do what I want them to do?
I dont want to manipulate people into defensing themselves, im so offended the governments and organisations of this world put such an imposition upon me, and other thinking people to manipulate the people around us into a counter culture or to go without things we want. Id really ratehr be left alone, able to get what I want when I want it, without having to manipulate people into providing an environment that supports it.
GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR that sucks!
Stupid people being unable to defend themselves from their own petty little fears.Thanatos was once a popular name. It means death.
Dick is also a popular name.

I didn't read the whole thread, but what's really sad about this war on drugs is that there are people out here in hickville (where I am currently going to college) who actually but this Government propoganda.
