Neck-Deep In Someone Else's Shit
You know...it's bad enough to be neck-deep in a pile of shit you created yourself, but it's a whole different story when it's someone else's shit and you're responsible for diggin' your way out. I think I'd rather be at home alone with the little monsters for 5+ hours at this point!

To elaborate, I accepted this "once in a lifetime job" with the understanding that certain pre-employment criteria specified by myself, would be met. Well...THEY WEREN'T! For the past 3 weeks I've spent every minute of the day trying to figure out how to fix the shit my predecessor managed to fuck up. I mean geez...we're talking super-simple stuff here... Basic naming convention adherence, accurate record keeping and inventory databases, basic wiring diagrams, etc. Even my 2 year old knows that the baby dolls go on the shelf with the other baby dolls and not in the underwear drawer! CHEESE & RICE MAN! WTF?!

Wait! Don't go away...I ain't done yet! One of my requests was that someone with a working knowledge of Websphere, SQLServer, MediaView, and DocSol stick around to bring me up to par on the apps and the role they play in CSC's environment. DO YOU THINK THAT HAPPEND? HELL NO! One of the first questions I was asked by another employee after starting was "Can you please explain IBM Websphere's role as it applies to integration with the POINT IN 11.01.1 FD release?". Don't feel bad if you have no fucking idea what that means...NEITHER DO I! Why you might ask...because no one ever told me...that's why!

I'm seriously fed up with this shit and as of tonight, I'll be reactivating my resume as my numerous attempts to convey my concerns to management have been ignored. Excuse me, let me clarify, they haven't been ignored because there's FUCKING NO ONE AROUND TO IGNORE THEM!

Check back sometime in the future for an update on all this crap...or don't...see if I care!
