1. Make sure your room is properly ventilated with heat OUT and fresh cool air IN.

2. If your problem is number 1 above, fix that then re-test temps. If not, go to 3.

3. Make sure you have a good strong fan blowing on the lamp to the exhaust.

4. Tin snip the reflector so you can bend the sides out a little more. I hate to tell you to get rid of the reflector because with that little light, you will need all you can get. Tou can use a white board on top of the light like I do, then hang the lights with twistie ties from the board. You use the board because you lose too much light at the top if you don't.
