Investing in a radar detector....?
What's up oreo...here's something I actually know a little about. I too had problems when I first moved to SC. Seems like there's a pig on every corner in this town. So, one of the first things I did upon my arrival was get a really good detector. After much research I found that one of the most important features is POP detection. I'm sure you're aware of how a few of the coppers now-a-days love to hit the POP button on their BEE radar units and boom, that's it, you're nabbed. Well...Beltronics makes two Vector models with POP detection. It's a great feature and will improve your chances of detecting those suckers nearly every time. I myself bought the Vector 995 model from Circuit City for $300 since it was rather inexpensive. Here's a link to beltronics' site and the same model:
.Code:http://www.beltronics.com/vector995.html
I also decided on this model because it's software upgradable meaning I can send it to bel in the future and get it upgraded for free. Of course, it sports every other feature there is and looks pretty sharp to boot. Check out the link and maybe even do a search on eBay to see if you can save a few bucks. Good luck and keep that hammer down bro!
Defs:
Reprogrammable Processor (Software Upgradable)
Using the latest technology in "flash" microprocessors, the Vector 995's software is upgradable to address new threats in speed measurement devices.
POP Radar
Short radar bursts too quick and short to be detected by non-pop capable detectors - fairly new and not used widely. Still very dangerous
