Vitamins in soil? Baking Seeds?

My father told me 2 things... I dont know the legitness on them and cant find them on the web, so Im asking you guys here..

Sprouting seeds by putting them in a wet paper towel on a glass cake pan. Put in the oven on lowest setting for 24 hours, re-moistening the paper towel as needed (checked every hour).

2nd, He also said that putting Vitamin b6 or osmething in the soil (crush up a few pills) will help growth...

I doubt the legitness on this so Im asking you guys.

The vitamin in B1 and you can buy the liquid version.
The oven theory depends on the temperature you can set and hold. If you can set and hold 80f - 87f with no light then yes it would work.
The best way is using the paper towel method. Where the paper towel is set on plastic screen holding it above the plate so you have drainage area and the seeds don't set in a pool of water then cover it with foil. That will allow the water that drains into the plate to evaporate back into the paper towel. Then you put the plate on a seed mat and in check it everyday.
Once you have 3/4" or longer tap roots you can move them to your grow medium and burry them about 1" - 1 1/2" deep.
