how long into flowering before something happens???

i have a plant that showed sex in the middle of the
sixth week of veg. i left her in veg for 8 weeks
total... she has now been in flower for over a week
    and really nothing is happening...

there are a bunch of pistols everywhere on the main
kola, but they arent really changing... she got water
when i first watered her when i switched to bloom,
and is now getting foxfarm bigbloom and poland
    spring water.

in case anyone is going to suggest that maybe
its not dark enough, the plant is alone in a separate
closet with a black drape hung in front of a closed
door with even more stuff pressed against it
    to keep it lightproof.

just curious... i thought she was fast showing sex
in less than 7 weeks, but now its a standstill...

    thanks.

During the first week or two of flowering, all the plant does really is the top shoots up. The budsites start stretching out for the future buds to come. Not a lot happens, just the top, main shoot, stretches mainly for the first 7-14 days. After about 20days of flowering or so you should see some buds forming at the top. Have patience, she will flower.

She'll continue to grow upwards too. I have mine about 6 days into flowering and she is growing an inch every few days and will continue for another week or so. The top shooting up is a good thing. Saves lots of room for the future main cola to grow. Good luck!

    thanks guys.

shes a wirey little plant though and the taller she
gets the more her head seems to tip a little to one
side or the other. i really hope she grows stronger
over the next week, it seems like she is going to
be the only girl in my current group... i just had
2 more probable males turn up tonight.

i can't wait to see how this all happens, its pretty
exciting really for a total noob.

Getting your first female(s) in the beginning is VERY exciting. I still get happy when I find out my lady is actually a lady.

It sounds like the stem maybe getting too tall and is having problems supporting itself, is that right? If so, you can put a small stick in the dirt, rest it up against the stem, and gently tie the stem to the stick, holding it up. That is your best bet because things are only going to get heavier. It is very common to tie plants up once they get too heavy, but so early in flowering, you need to resolve it.

Have any pics you'd like to share? If not, that's cool. Good luck!

Nochowder is right again, BUT, I would like to add a caution sign to that.....when you stake your plant, be careful of the positioning of the stake before you drive it home. If you drive the stake through the main tap-root, you will kill the plant. So be sure to go at least a half a foot to the left or right of the plant. The tap-root is the main root that gos directly under the main stem.....thats the part u WANT to MISS. Good luck, and happy growing-emtpockets
