    Foreplay?

I just kinda want to compare. I've been married for almost a year now and we've been together for 5 1/2 years.
I think that because we have been together so long, if we are going to have sex we have sex. The foreplay part seems to have gone missing.
We use ot have sex at least once a day but the last few month it's been like 2-3 times a week, and like I said it's just sex.
Not sure how to break this patern we've settled into.

What I want to know is, how long do you usually spend on foreplay? And what does that usually involve?
If anyone responds please include wether or not your in a relationship and if you are for how long....
Thanks in advance for any response

    Foreplay?

Foreplay is the first thing to go after marriage for alot of people. I've been married 26 yrs, and sometimes we get lazy, especially when our lives get busy, and time is short.

Right now, I'd say we spend 20-30 minutes of foreplay. It varies because we like it to be different each time: things like kissing, massage, touching and licking. Did I mention sucking ? The only rule is that we both give and receive.

I think that the best approach, if you can do it, is not to expect or schedule sex. Let each person work for it: flirt, make-out, make your way on the bases .... That can be the start of foreplay. If things get hot, run like hell to the bedroom and make it hotter.

Sex should be spontaneous and always changing. Try new positions or locations.

Wow, kudos on the love making!
    Also on your marriage!
Yeah, I definitely need to get us doing it in other places besides home. I miss when we were forced to get creative because we had to sneek around or what not. Now it's like it's just to easy

    Foreplay?

i feel your dilemma, mrsdarkidol... though im not married, i have been with the same woman for nearly 6 years.. we started as high school sweethearts and its likely were gonna get married..
anywho... since weve graduated into adulthood, bills and stress, our sessions have lagged off as well.. i feel like its more meaningful to have great sex 2-3 times a week as opposed to 5-6 "hurry up and get off me" sessions...
we like to change up our styles, so its not gettin tedious and little things tend to build up excitement, such as being at a bar and ill lean over and whisper in her ear something only she would hear from me, just to get her pulse to rise, and she will know whats on my mind...

    good luck

    Foreplay?

I'm 18 so im at the peek of my sexuality, not in a relationship or anything just having fun with a few girls at a time.
I like to think foreplay starts with the second i make eye contact. I always turn things up during conversations and stuff until it moves to physical things like play fighting and gentle wrestling in my bed or even the occasional pillow fight. I find if you keep a childish mind set (like kids, on the play ground, playing cooties games and such) then things move into intense kissing and massaging, then of course oral stuff. I always tease during foreplay and make it last as long as i can.
A great thing i do is i stop right before we are about to have sex and end it there (ohh my god its so hard to do this) so the next time she is crazy for me, trust me this makes sex 10x better. I spend a good 2 hours on foreplay if i have the house to myself, if not its drasicly shortened to as much time as i have.
There is a great book out there called Sex Secrets by David DeAngelo, it comes free with his Double Your Dating book. His main point is anticipation, if you build this as high as she can stand she will end up throwing herself on you without you saying or doing anything.
Sorry to plug something you have to pay for but David has some great material.

Great ... if you're both willing to be creative and change things a little, the excitement will come back fast ... Location ...... my wife and I still are doing it a few times a year, in the back seat of the car in dark areas. It was alot easier in th 70s with the big back seats (and front bench seats).

Sex (as well as flirting and foreplay) is very important in marriage. Explore it's limits over time, within the comfort zone that each of you can agree to. Don't assume it has to get routine over time. It really doesn't have to.

Our sex lives have grown together (creatively) more in the past 10 years than in the first 10 years.

It's encouraging to hear that Donnie, thanks for the advice. I think sometimes I get stuck dwelling on something wrong instead of taking the initiative to change it.

With my girlfriend, any sex has to include foreplay. The play part may not be as fun as it used to be because we both know the ultimate goal is simultaneous orgasms and, unless you're a freak of nature, that can't happen during foreplay.

But, yeah, sex is there when I want it and if it was there for as long as you and marriage got involved, it would become equivalent to an occupation (one that you've always wanted).
