vaporizer questions
hello all, ive been doing some searching and all and have not been able to come across a quality explanation on how the vaporizer works, and what the difference is between the good and bad ones. also is it safe enough where you could smoke it in your room? lastly are there any sites that give a thorough design on vaporizers, i know it wont be great but i cant drop 100+ on something like that. thank you!

Don't really know all that much about vapes but so far as I know cheaper vapouriser heat up the bud using a metal hotplate whereas the better ones blow hot air though. From what I've heard its not worth getting one of the cheaper ones.
As for being safe to smoke in your room do mean safe as in not getting caught, if so then pretty much as they don't create any odour.

I use a vaporizer about 90% of the time. Dirty raider was right about the two types. I have owned both and know from experience to stay away from the cheap ones with the metal plate and the glass dome. They will get you high but are not very efficient. With the one I have now I need only a little bit of bud to get really stoned. It is an Aromazap and set me back $100. Sorry but this seems to be the min price for a decent vap. There is one that looks like a pipe that seems like it would work well and goes for about $50. I've never used one though, so I can't vouch for it.
As far as being able to smoke in your room, remember, your'e not really smoking. No smoke is produced, just a vapor. I've had people walk into a room a few minutes after I've used my vaporizer and never known. If you have good bud chances are it will smell stronger than anything you get out of the vaporizer.
I'd recomend just dropping the $100 and getting a decent one. They are a lot more efficient than smoking so you'll probably end up spending less on weed. After a few 1/4's the vaporizer will have paid for itself.

It heats the bud to a temperature just hot enough for the cannabinoids to be vaporized, no flames, no combustion, no smoke.
For this you do kind of sacrafice portability though.

As for hiding the $100 spent, sorry, you're on your own there. Didn't have that problem myself.

Hahah thought he meant the regular vapos, havn't even heard about the 'pipe' style myself.
A kid I know had one of the hot plate with the glass dome vaporizers, the glass dome had broken when it was being shipped so he tried to fix it with electrical tape. It took a good while to heat up and the vapors tended to escape, you could hit it eventually though. It seemed to me the high was a bit different but we usually smoked and vaped so I couldn't really tell.
