... hate to say it, but things sounded better when he wasn't responding at all. This story blows, and even if he wasn't trying to rip you off the chances of him coming up with $850 to pay you back espeacially with the reputation you painted him as having... I wouldn't hold my breath on getting the money back. Do you have any other bread you can use to try and make money? I'd do what I can to start making money now to pay back your grandma.

Don't get me wrong I hope he gets the money back to you, but I think he's just trying to buy time and letting you 'cool off' before you realize you've been had. Either ride his ass about getting the money back NOW or start planning revenge.

i agree, mono...i can't believe that old excuse is still being accepted! the "i got ripped off..." excuse is as old as cannabis. does he have any cuts or bruises? why does he still have $100 left and why isn't that in your hands already as down payment for reimbursement? why weren't you immediately informed?

if i were you i'd get a "promisory note" from him asap saying nothing more than:

"I (insert his name) borrowed $850 cash and promise to pay (insert your name) total amount by (insert agreed on date) or pay X dollars/month until paid off."

have him sign it in front of a notary (found at most banks, ins. agencies, public offices, libraries, etc).

this way you'll have legal recourse when he blows off paying you anything back (like what happens 99.9% of the time in these cases).

Well yes the story wasnt very legit, i havent seen him yet in person, and i cant talk to the person who saw him last night until she gets off work. Oh actually im txting her right now, just asked if he looked beat up. Anyways, he deals so thats how hes going to make the money back, and he said when we talked on the phone last night, "damn im gonna start having to make payments". Okay well now i just got off the phone with A, and she said he talked to him, and that he looked a lil beat up, like a bruise or so on his face, but not like BEAT UP BEAT UP. Im gonna give him a call a little later today, to see whats up and if he can get me any of the money now, or when is the soonest he can get me any of it. And the 850 was givin to me by my grandma(thas how she comes in) She knew what it was for(weed), and she knew that i was going to sell mostly all of it. Ive told her about the whole new situation now and she seems happier, but she swears up and down, the reason he doesnt have the money is because he was in debt, but i highly doubt it. Anyways, i will keep updating on this thread, and all i hope is i get my money back.

I hope that everything works out for you penquin. I really can't relate because I have only been ripped off for $20 before, thats when i was just starting out. Now I thankfully run with a clique (it's actually now an offical gang in the twin cities, funny story) but any deals I always go through the clique and we never get ripped because were quite intimidating i suppose. But yeah if you ever need a hookup in Minnesota I know where to get the goood good, the stuff that randy moss used to smoke when he lived here lol. Good Luck.
