Only two days of 12/12 hour light

My plants were in the vegitative stage and I gave them 24 hours of light. I switched to 12/12 lighting to induce flowering. However, because of unexpected problems i was forced to switch back to 24/0 lighting after two days. Will this have negative long term affects on the plants? Has anyone done this before?

im not entirely sure but in the flowerin stage it supposedly puts the plants in 2 shock and worse case senario, could ruin this grow, if u dont mind how did that happen?

So this is what happened: I switched the lighting manually to 12/12 lighting to start the plants flowering. I was going to buy a timer, but thought it'd be ok to do it manually for a couple of days. After two days I had to be out of town on very short notice. I did not have a timer and no one I could rely on to check on the plants twice a day to turn the lights on and off. So I just left the lights on and left. It's been a couple of days and the plants seem fine, how long should I wait to switch the lighting back to 12/12?

did the time do any damage to the plants genetic code?

Well since it was only two days, 'probably' not. However the chance does exist. Anyone who tells you for certain is probably a bit enthusiastic in their approach.

    Only time will tell.

Might as well throw the plant back into flower cycle now. Waiting wont change what has happened.

    Oh yea...get a timer.

After two days of switching back to 24/0, my plants have developed what looks to me to be K nutrient deficiency (browned tips, curling, red/purplish stems). Also, the top most leaves are lighter green than the rest of the plant. Other than that, i don't see many other problems. Hope this string of problems doesn't get worse.
