elote
coming from the "ghetto" i'm definately sure of this. The "corn lady" as we call them come in shopping carts down the street with horns yelling "elotes, tamales, raspado..." and people come out their houses and buy them for $1.00. Simple ingredients (you can make it at home) corn, parkay butter, MAYONAISE, parmesian cheese and chili powder. Stick it on a fuckin' stick and there goes your fuckin' "ELOTE". THE CORN LADY WOULD CALL YOU "ESTUPIDO".
jahrastagirl Reviewed by jahrastagirl on . elote Elote is an addictive corn dish with sour cream, parmesean cheese, butter, and this other stuff that looks kinda like mayonaisse except it's off white colored in it(with lots of hot sauce added). I can only get it from street vendors in the mostly mexican areas of my city. I was just wondering if anyone knows what the last mayonaisse-like ingredient is, because I am addicted to it and it is becoming expensive to drive to the barrio and buy. I did a google search but can't find anything that Rating: 5
