Wtf happened to Erowid?
I haven't been on erowid.com for a few months, i just went on and it's all changed (that's cool i like the new look of it). But it made my computer so slow and 31 pop-ups came up, like all the ones titled "you computer may be infected", just all that spyware shit came up, hope it doesn't happen every time i go on there as this computer was fucked up for a good 5 minutes lol.

What browser are you using? I'm not having any problems with slowness or pop-ups on Firefox.

Wtf happened to Erowid?
BT Internet Explorer i have. Always works fine, but the pages on erowid were loading really slowly and it was making my computer freeze, but it's fine now i'm on here, like the pages are loading instantly as they always do. Oh well i know all the info on stuff i need to know about so it's not much of a loss, but i'll try again later and tell you if it's any better

Wtf happened to Erowid?
I'm using Internet Explorer, I didn't get any pop-ups. So I doubt it's the browser.

Perhaps you have spyware, then. That is often the cause of mysterious pop-ups. Run Ad-Aware and see if it turns up anything.

Cheers people, and i think i do have spyware, my dad got something to get rid of it, Webroot Spy Sweeper is always on and alerts me when anything bad gets found lol, but i never delete them as it takes like half an hour and the computer goes really slow while it's working its magic. In fact when i go off here later i'll delete all the shit and just leave the computer to get on with it lol
