i doubt it, the book is amazing, and it would be pretty much impossible to make the films any better, the 3rd movie is my favorite movie of all time

all three movies were absolutely amazing. while i'm watching the films i say to myself, "damnit, i wish i was there". new zealand is a beautiful place. the first film, although slow at the beginning, is my favorite one. all i have to do now is get some weed and take a day out to watch the trilogy.

Yeah, the first is my favorite too. I'm not a huge 'action' fan, so this one appealed to me. The scenes of the shire were real relaxing. Dunno, but this one was my favorite.

Peter jackson could have made the movies better if he followed the books a little closer. He did do a stellar job though!I cant wait for him to make the hobbit

You have to take into account that he's making a movie, and it can't be TOO long.

I do think they did a great job with these movies. I believe that there will be other adaptations, some day in the future, as digital production becomes cheaper and more sophisticated. I can imagine someone making an even longer version that is even more faithful to the books, say 15 years from now. Personally I was very happy with this adaptation. The books are one thing, the movies another, you know?

I love the movies, don't get me wrong. They helped me understand the books alot better. In the books every character , city, and sword, have like five different names I realize they had to cut stuff out but, he put in parts that never happened in the books, I don't think thats cool b ut over all exellent movies2nd best trilogy of all time!!

Ya, the movies were dissapointing because of the few things they left out in the books, especially Tom Bombadil. Pipe-weed though, thats tight. I still love the movies though.
