If you were President WHat would your Platform be?
I live in a state where there is a large Hmong population. I can recall after the first year of being here they rented some fields on the outside of town visible from the highway. Hotter than hell outside they worked the fields by hand, old school! At the end of the season they sold all the goods. Not looking for a hand out but looking to be self supportive.

Working together, doing jobs that some would feel is beneath them. What is more beneath a person than being homeless and starving?
Why is "from each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs" so objectionable
Thats easy. Some people are just born lazy! Why should the government or private sector be responsible for someone of this mind frame? If your speaking of someone that CAN'T work do to physical impairments I'm with you 100%. But if at all possible, give the person a feeling of self worth. Even if all they can do is answer a phone and direct a call.

You do not realize that the lazy are in charge of capitalism. Does Bill Gates really do the work of 14,000,000 workers? I bet he spends a lot more time sitting around in luxury than the Microsoft production line workers, don't you?

Capitalism systematically starves Africa because of its drive for profit for the few at the top of the economic ladder. There is no justification for such a heinous system.
The point is, there should be NO government or private sector. These are exploitative parasites on society. Why should the government or private sector be responsible for someone of this mind frame?

you're confusing monopoly capitalism and socialism and fascism, which is what we have now, with real free market capitalism...

Didn't Bill Gates also start off in his garage creating what is today Microsoft? Because of his will he is now able to employ the work force you speak of. I'm sure he's not busting his butt at all these days and like most of the T.V. multi-millionaire jocks we see is probably way over paid. Hell, take a look at Oprah!! The thing is though, this type of class system...upper, middle, lower gives incentive to thrive for higher goals. Some are content to be what they are and others are on a mission. The Gates, Fords, etc....are definately rich beyond wildest dreams but they also provide alot of income for the working sector.

I don't advocate "monopoly capitalism" or "fascism", just socialism, that is, the ownership of the means of production in common by the people, organized into federations based on free association (not all property owned by a state capitalist Marxist government which rules over the people). You probably have never really researched anarchist communist economics, so here are some materials if you would like to actually know what it is that I am advocating:

I think my administration could nip this problem in the bud!!

So if nobody had any private ownership of the means of production, doctors would quit helping their fellow man and people would lose all interest in advancing medicine? You're saying that all the doctors who continued to work in the anarchist communist communities of revolutionary Spain and Ukraine didn't exist, that they were just a figment of people's imagination?

Not saying that at all. What I am saying is there is no incentive to become a doctor if the pay is equal to that of a bagboy.

And as for Africa. That is a totally different enviroment. I am not by any means comparing what the opportunities are for the people in Africa as to the United States.
