This was Psycho's idea for a thread but he never started it so I gave it some thought and I will start....

Presidential platform

1. Establish a standard by which we measure whether foreign workers are getting a fair level of pay. Current â??free marketâ?� practices are responsible for encouraging corporations to outsource jobs to countries that use child and slave labor and environmentally destructive practices that are not tolerated in the U.S. If foreign origin goods or services are provided by workers whose compensation does not meet human rights standards, then those goods or services should not be importable into the US.

2. Amend all of the existing trade agreements to eliminate financial incentives for companies to outsource American jobs overseas. Rather than bringing American wages down to Third World levels, the Braun administration will bring Third World country wages up to American levels

3. Election of the president:

A. It wwould be by direct election, with a runoff between the 2 leading candidates if no one has a majority. Election by plurality should be eliminated for all elections

B. there should be a minimum IQ requirement for presidents. They should prove that they can test at least at an IQ of 120, namely superior. We should not be subjected to presidents who are too stupid to understand the implications of what they are doing.

C. Money clearly corrupts the democratic process. Office holders should not be allowed to accept any contributions or gifts that are worth more than $100 from any person, company or entity for any reason. Such actions would greatly reduce the power of lobbyists to influence decisions made by Members of Congress.

4. DRUGS:

A. End the drug war that has put millions of Americans in prison and cost the taxpayers more than $230 billion since 1968. Drug problems are health problems, and they should not become criminal problems. By making drugs illegal, violent crime and gangs are allowed to prosper as they did when alcohol was made illegal, and prison populations dramatically increased. Once drugs have become legalized, the prison populations will be substantially reduced, and the billions of dollars that are spent on the drug war can be used for more constructive purposes

Like Education: The most important factor in breaking the cycle of welfare and poverty is having an educational system that provides high-quality instruction to all students

B. medical marijuana should be legal and taxed with the proceeds going to education and social programs.

C. people addicted to drugs who want help should be given their drugs in a supervised institutional setting. They donâ??t need to be put in prison, their addiction will imprison them. This type of institution would be cheaper than a prison & eliminate all the organized crime surrounding drug trafficking;

By decriminalize all drugs, the army of drug control police can be reassigned to fighting real crime, including the corporate criminals who steal the vast majority of the money from the American people.

4. primary health care should be available to everyone at subsidized clinics

Fees at these clinics should be based on ability to pay. providing universal health care for all Americans. This Health Care System will be operated on a non-profit basis, in contrast to the current system that is structured around the financial interest of drug and insurance companies and physicians and dentists who â??operateâ?� on a commission basis.

5. Decreasing estate taxes for the wealthy should be restricted to cases where there is a small, family business to be preserved, such as a family farm. There is no need to reduce estate taxes for the wealthy where only shares in publicly held corporations or luxury residences are in question.

6. Places like Saudi Arabia, where women lack basic civil rights and are treated as slaves, should not be considered our friends or receive our support. No matter how much oil they offer us.

7. Government subsidies in this country should be drastically reduced, starting at the top there should be a prohibition against giving a dime of government money to anyone whose annual income or total assets exceed one billion dollars. Why should agricultural subsidies be going to Ted Turner and David Rockefeller for gosh sakes?!

With all the money saved by ending those huge numbers of subsidies, the government could afford to pay the kinds of salaries that attract highly qualified people from the private sector. example, if every member of Congress were paid a million dollars a year, that would cost less than one percent of what it costs to run the Department of Agriculture. Imagine what we could do if that money went into social services and education. We could afford to increase ell grants so more people could go to college.


There is no reason to deprive any citizens of the right to vote.

Voting stations should be supervised and should remain open until all have voted.

People that have served time in prison have paid their dues and their right to vote should be reinstated so that they can feel like they are a integral part of their community.

Given their historical record, corporations are mindless money machines that must be carefully regulated. Corporations have no loyalty to the American people or even their shareholders. They are not human, yet their financial power allows them to hire an army of lobbyists who directly influence the legislative process in the USA and other countries.

Private corporations that create waste and pollution should never be allowed to determine environmental regulations or deal with the production, transport or storage of radioactive wastes. Bush administrationâ??s policy of simply â??trustingâ?� corporations to do the right thing is a policy of stupidity. No one with such a misinformed understanding of reality should be elected to be President of the United States.

Given that a large number of multinational corporations are now financially larger than many countries, it is important not to allow their financial power and lobbyists to influence legislation because it undermines the democratic process. So we need a Constitutional Amendment that bans all corporate and business lobbying and contributions

Shift from fossil and nuclear fuels to alternative fuels such as solar hydrogen systems and wind systems. Put more money into researching fuels like, Methane Hydrates which are in abundance and found almost everywhere. Approximately 10 million one-megawatt wind-powered hydrogen production systems will make America 100 percent independent of all fossil and nuclear fuels.

Japan is already WAY ahead of us on this.

America â??s foreign policy should be based on treating others as we want to be treated. However, since WWII, the U.S. has been supporting a large number of brutal and undemocratic regimes in countries such as Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Egypt, Iran, Vietnam, and Iraq -- and millions of innocent people have been killed and injured in the process.

The reality is that both Democratic and Republican administrations have used falsified documents and intelligence data to initiate the mass-murder of innocent people in foreign countries such as Vietnam,Columbia,Guatemala, Nicaragua and Iraq, and dozens of other brutal and undemocratic dictators that the U.S. governments has been supporting over the past 6 decades.

Redeployment of Army and Marine units along Americaâ??s borders to help ensure the integrity of the borders but this is only a band aid. We need to look at the economics of why illegal immigration is occurring in the first place. Specifically, ensure that the U.S. trade agreements with foreign countries will require comparable wages, working conditions and environmental regulations, so that foreign workers will not need to come to the U.S. in order to have a decent lifestyle for their families. Rather than reducing the American standard of living.

AND stop using military force to impose our will and culture on others. If the logic of using pre-emptive military strikes against other countries that could be a threat to America was used against the Soviet Union, an unnecessary catastrophic thermonuclear war may well have been the outcome.

Waging a preemptive war against a nation that does not attack us first should be unthinkable.

Respect all religious beliefs, because no one can disprove or prove anyoneâ??s personal belief system. As such, the government should rely on scientific data and not religious views in the establishment of domestic laws and U.S. foreign policy.

Stop all the secrecy in government, which is a direct contraction to the democratic principles of government. Create an amendment to the U.S. Constitution that will eliminate the concept of â??executive privilege,â?� which allows Presidents to hide the truth by withholding documents and information from the American people. . With the exception of obvious matters of military and national security.

Wealthy individuals should pay a higher tax rate than individuals who work for a living at minimum wage levels and the federal government should be required to balance its budget each year and pay off the national debt that now requires more than $300 billion each year in interest payments.

Restricted arms sells to rogue nations should be reinstated.

Accept Cuba or reject China- as both are communist and both have extensive human rights violations. China simply has more money and can buy more US shit..

So that about covers it....

in short, i would...

abolish the federal reserve and get back to a system where the money is actually worth something (gold, silver, etc...)
abolish the UN
abolish the CFR
stop all foreign aid to all countries
bring the military back home from every country we occupy
abolish nafta, gatt, cafta, and the ftaa
abolish all unconstitutional cabinet levels and departments
abolish all executive orders
abolish the unconstitutional direct income tax (there are other amendments, not the first 10, that need to be looked at too...those that create US citizens as a legal term to destroy rights...)
abolish the electoral college for a system that achieves wider representation, more inclusion of 3rd, 4th, 5th parties...

get back to a constitutional republic...basically. a true free market capitalist society, not the monopoly capitalism, which is socialism and fascism, that we have now.

i could go on for a long, long, long time...but i have to go to bed now so i can be up in the middle of the night for work.

Since our military endevors seems to be the news of the day lets start there.

Military aid:
What is military aid. A country that wants new weapons, or toys, but can't afford them. It's like our children, if you can't afford the new Nintendo, you don't get it! Mom and Dad are way low on cash and just can't afford the luxury anymore.

Arms sales:
Your country will be graded as to humane rights, beliefs, and whether this is for a defensive posture or offensive. Based on the criteria, or grading system, arms sales will be considered.

Middle East:
We people of the United States formally give notice to all. Israel was British project and gradually was put on our laps. We have gave military aid, economic aid, etc...now for long enough. When our children reach a certain age they are requested to move out and make it on their own. Same to ALL our friends in the Middle East.
We will pull out all military from all nations when the conflict in Iraq is settled. Due to our actions with other world powers this has esculated to a point where we MUST clean up our mess. After which, it will be up to the G-8 and Israel to manage disputes, etc....In return, we expect and demand fair treatment. Any attacks to U.S. citizens or U.S. territory will be investigated and if it is found that backing was given by a certain country. It will be considered as an act of war against the U.S. and have definate consequences.

Asia:
Another area in which European allies have brought us in and left us holding the bag. To China, your choice of government is your own buisiness and we look forward to a new working relationship with you. The Soverenty of S. Korea, and Japan will not be questioned. Also, N. Korea was protected by you during the Korean war and we will expect you to negotiate options that will be in the benifit of ALL the world. Any deviation from this will result in immediate trade sanctions of ALL goods to the United States.

Europe:
To our good allies the French and Germans. We are tired of being undermined by your countries in the U.N. for your own self interests. In the future, YOU will be held accountable for ALL actions which include sales of arms and nuclear technology to hostile nations. This once again will be met with Immediate trade sanctions of all your goods to the U.S.

Russia:
We have been working on the road of peace and forgiveness with each other. Let us not forget that and keep on that road.

U.N.:
This was created for a place for all nations to make grievences instead of war. This has been completely undermined by certain actions and dirty deals. The United States is cancelling all funding and request that your facility be moved to another country. We also call on the world leaders for ALL nations to join with us to create a U.N. that will respect the rights of all world citizens against unwanted war and genocide. This was the original intention and we will fund nothing more or less than this.

Military Spending:
The current military budget is estimated at 443 billion dollars. This can now be cut back due to the cuts in aid and overseas bases. WE MUST though stay on the cutting age of technology that will ensure that our system will survive any threats from outsiders. In comparison, if another country has a pistol we should have a cannon. We should and will always have military superiority to ensure our survival.

Economic aid to foreign countries:
Once again, if mom and dad are broke the kids don't get the $150 sneakers. The days of free-bees are done. Only in cases of natural disasters or famine shall there be economic aid granted.

Oil:
As we make the transition to alternative fuels we will not be blackmailed over unwarrented price hikes. The price of oil will be at a fixed rate. Fair for us while giving a decent profit to the holding countries. Any act of unnecessary hikes will be considered a hostile act upon our economic structure and will NOT be tolorated.

Domestic affairs:

Congress, Senate:
Government wake up! You were elected to do a job. If there is a vote in the house you will be expected to be on the job. If there are debates you will be expected to be on the job. In industry, you are given on a national average of 8 sick occurances until termination. This will be your guidlines! If you miss 8 times for votes, debates, meetings you WILL be terminated and emergency elections for your state will be held to replace you!
ANY congressman or senator that attatches a piece of "self interest adders" onto legislation will result in immediate termination for stealing. The days of adding another 3 billion to a 1 billion dollar agenda is done!
Also, the position of President is regulated as to the amount of terms, yours will be also. This will hopefully destroy any special interest ties.

Abortion:
This is NOT a federal government agenda and should be the will of the people by state vote of the people. Neither you or me no the reasons behind actions and we all have to answer to our own "God" or look at ourselves in the mirror.

War on Drugs:
The war on drugs is no different that the old war on liquer. It's not working folks. The more we spend to stop it the more there is. The money is being used to buy weapons for street gangs to kill our children at a greater rate than the drugs themselves. ALL anti-drug funding will be diverted to treatment facilities. Open trade will begin with our neighbors to the south that will compensate for the loss of all aid. We will not turn into a nation of drug addicts the same way we didn't turn into a nation of alchohalics.

Health Care:
This will stay in the private sector with new regulations. Insurance companies will no longer control doctors decisions, they are there to pay claims, nothing more! Law suits will be limited to and not exceed earning potential of the individual that was lost. The days of being awarded multi-million dollar suits is done. This lines pockets of lawyers, drives up insurance rates, and increases health care costs. Remember people, no-body is perfect!
Doctors will recieve an annual grade by JHACO. Any doctor with multiple occurances will have licences revolked until a time when proven competent to be in practice.
There will be one sector that is entitled to free healthcare for life, that would be the brave soldiers that have been wounded in battle. That is the least we could do!

Judicial:
Capital punishment will be accepted in cases of wrongfull death only. If found guilty, you will have the option of a lie detector followed by Sodium pentathol, by passing either, this will give reason for life sentence and resources to prove innocence. By failing both, Off to the Chair!
Child molesters will be housed in special prisons for life! No visitation by family or friends. To this country you will be considered as a disgrace. Only by the measures listed for capital punishment shall you be awarded the privilage of proving innocence!
Rapists shall be housed the facility with the molestors with the same rules. I hope that they all get along.

Borders:
Our borders are not just our responsibilty but also that of the neighboring countries. We don't have thousands of Canadians flowing across the Rocky Mountains and the days of Mexico stating its our problem is over. If you can't control your economic enviroment and your border. Maybe you should become a state....get the hint? Now GIT-R-DONE!

Outsourcing Jobs:
You put your plant in a country with substandard pay and working conditions a tarriff will be assessed on your goods to compensate for this. This money will be used to create jobs in rebuilding our highways, schools, etc....And as a reminder to the people of your actions, such highways, etc..will bear your company name! This will remind the American people as to what not to buy.

These truths we shall hold close to our hearts. By following this basic guidline I foresee an America that will be respected by our neighbors and feared by those out to do us harm.

Legalize:
Prostitution: Regulated in the same order as Amsterdam
Multiple-partner marriage: No more infringing on personal/religious beliefs
Gay marriage: Separation of Church and State. The state will not dictate morals.

No more income tax! Taxes will be calculated into the sales tax. The more you make, the more you spend, the more you spend, the higher your tax.

This will make the tax code evenly distributed based upon income. Same percentage for all! Greater taxes for the greater spenders.
