They suggest that 6.5 is about perfect for soil. At least that's what I've read.

PH Hi, what is the ph meant to be when growing in bio-bizz soil? at the moment i think its 7, i tested it by putting a syringe in the soil to get water from the soil, the used 1 of them colour charts to see the colour of the ph level and it was about 7.
