pregnant and concerned

Hi all,
just giving ya all an update.
Once again, thank you for all the wonderful post and support. For those who think Im unfit and all... well, that's your opinion and you have a right to that.

Just a bit of background - I'm married for the 3rd yr, and my husband and I have been together for 12 yrs. We are responsible adults who have bought a home 3 yrs ago and are building a stable and loving environment for our child.

K... back to the pregnancy topic.
Smoking cigs, had turned into a Sun Flower Seed obsession, which is substaining me. So, so far so good, with non smoking. As far a pot, only occassionally for cronic knee pain (both), sometimes the pain is so bad I am unable to walk or stand for about 3- 4 hrs. This is nothing new, but still a problem Im dealing with. I have been taking Vicadine for the past 12 yrs to control this pain / along with pop. The docs still stay I can take the Vic, but I really have cut back on that as well... use to take 4-8 a day, just to get thru, now Im down to maybe 2-3 a week. : ) doing the best I can. The nurse tells me being in such pain isn't good for either of us, this I know is true, so Im doing my best to contol it without stressing the baby or me too much.

We did the amnio early last month, and all came back good. Thank God! and all the subsequant ob meetings have gone great. Going for a sonogram on Oct 13 with my husband, looking forward to that. : )

I've already told my ob that I smoke pot for pain, and I do want to know, how long it stays in my system so I can continue to reduce usage as this pregnancy progresses, to be sure it is not in the baby's system or mine at the time of delivery. Im drinking tons of water daily, and I know that helps clean my system, but I would like to have some input on actual experiences or knowledge of the length of time it stays so that I wont have to worry about issues dealing w/ testing after birth.
