The Famed 'Purple Haze'

Ok, last night, I really needed bud, but my dealer wouldn't pick up. So I'm walking around at like 11:00 lookin' for some mids (was broke, thought to myself quantity over quality) And I come across this kid 5 or six blocks up from where I live. Says, "Yeah yeah, I got that Ari. What you need? 4 nicks? Aight I'll be down in a minute." So I'm waiting for like 3 minutes with my boy Miles, he hands me his knife tellin me to have it ready, just in case, when the kid comes down. "Yo man Im outta da regs but I got a dub of purple haze," he says. So i scope the shit, it looked like two tiny ass little hunks of dro in a vial. Of course I didn't buy it cuz it would have had to be split by me and my brother, plus I was around the projects so i know that it wasn't official. I'm just wondering, Is their actually (Not "purple strains") a strain called purple haze anywhere out there? I'm begginning to think it's a myth...

This strain was very famous during the 70's in the santa cruz country areas of cali....The haze brothers road on horse back to their grow sites and grew haze in green houses the upper regions ..this caused it to purple, as you know cali can get pretty cool at night....this is a haze that the eurphoric high was intense...but as the years went buy many strains crossed...
there is still purple haze out their...and its a long flowering indoor sativa...requires a good green thumb at growing...your not a grower till youve grown a haze .....

Well there's certainly a strain called Haze...if the grower can somehow get it to develop a purple tint, it can certainly be called purple haze.
