It is my openly stated opinion that I believe all people guilty of sexual offences regarding children should be executed.
I also believe that this punishment should be availlable for the victims or their survivors/parents to carry out themselves and not just by authorities.
I further feel that if caught in the act of these offenses one should not have the rights of a lengthy and expensive (and emotionally trying for victims) court process. This punishment should be doled out immediately and without mercy.
Anyone found to have assulted a sexual offender should not be held criminally accountable for their actions in any way..Names of victims should be kept forever secret to minimize subsequent trauma and shame, while names of the offender should be made public.
Anyone found to have enabled assults to take place due to their refusal to step forward and protect the child should also be subject to some punishment .
How can we incorporate this kind of action into out society without risking punishing the wrong people? Using the same criteria we use now but without any opportunity for the offeder to speak on their own behalf.
If it is proven through dna and victim and witness accounts then we should proceed directly to the punishment.
Our current system is flawed to the core and we let thousands roam the streets after release from minimum sentences in minimum security institutions.
We punish people worse for financial offenses,property offenses and simple assult than we do the sexual predators amoung us.
I myself recieved a 2 year probationary sentence and undue restrictions on my freedom, as well as a criminal record for merely threatening to kill a sexual offender and weekly I read of people who are actually found guilty of sexual interferance recieve matching sentences.
This is not right. Had I actually followed through and harmed this parasite I would have recieve a jail sentence worse than many offenders recieve.
And, I would have been away from my family and unable to participate in the raising of the very children I protect with my actions.
Had I removed this man from our society he would not be free to offend again and more people would be safe from harm. As it stands there was not sufficient evidence to prosecute him for his actions and he walks free to this day.
So when you ask if I feel our laws are fucked up my answer would be a loud and clear FUCK YEAH!
And I would encourage those who feel the same to do one simple thing to take one step in the direction of reform of our current system.
Write one letter to one politician,MP, MPP,judge, police chief, newspaper editor or whoever else may carry some weight in your respective communities and voice your opinion. It is only through petition for change that we ever see any in our laws. One letter to one person from everyone who feels like I do would force change to be initiated. Isnt that worth 5 minutes and a stamp?
