Howdy SJ,

There are folks joining to fight..instead of whining like the anti-wars do..I joined when I was 17..back in '76..were you in diapers back then..or just a gleam in yore daddy's eyes ? I tried to git back in,when DS1 went down,but I was still recovering from back surgery and they wouldn't let me back in..have you ever had the desire to fight for other folk's freedom ? Or do you just cling to your freedom and say to heck with those who do not have freedom ? That we should not interfere with their culture of brutal oppression ?

The only cowards here,are those who selfishly cling to their freedom and refuse to fight for other's freedom..the cowards are those who believe that if we appease the terrorists..that they will just fade back into the woodwork and give up their diabolical plans to destroy the Free World. Did you appease the school-yard bully,by givin him yer lunch money everyday ? Did he stop asking for your lunch money..? I doubt it .

That was truly disgusting to read. Torog, I've read enough of your posts to know that what drives your desire for war is hatred for Islam, and I doubt your fooling many people trying to veil it as a desire to free the oppressed. You know, you might be more convincing if you could actually find a consistent argument for these wars. One second it's because the country isn't cooperating with the U.S.'s demands to get rid of their WMD's, the next it's because they might attack within 45 minutes, next it's to rid the world of terrorism in response to 9/11, and next it's to free the people of that country. Whenever one gets disproved or someone convinces you that you're wrong you just turn to another excuse.

If people could just realize who's really responsible for 9/11. That's the root of this whole thing and the official version as we know it is a lie... and there's tons of evidence to show it but most people don't care about the truth.

It's always nice to see respectful openminded political debate that doesn't spiral into juvenile name calling and flag waving. Many people, liberal and conservative, don't use reason. Also, fighting in bullshit wars do not protect our freedoms, usually these wars just end up costing innocent lives on both sides and seriously curtailing our civil liberties (just look at the fucking mess we are in now) In my opinion, anyone who thinks the war in Iraq is a humanitarian crusade or meant to protect American values is naive and seriously mistaken. But, I also understand that my opinion is no more valid than anyone else's. Very few things in this world are as cut and dry, black and white, right or wrong as people make them out to be. It's easier to blindly support a political party and it's platform than to use one's own mind and think for herself. That's why we only have 2 candidates in most elections with any chance in hell of being elected. Too many people believe they must fit into either the dumbass Republican or dumbass Democratic mindset and blindly follow whatever their respective party proposes. More free thought and respect to others would also lead to a more rational voting base that could actually vote some 3rd party candidates into office. It's a damn shame that we only have 2 legitimate choices for our President. I think Bush is really horrible, but I also thought Kerry sucked equally badly. This is just one person's opinion.
