And hi from the UK to you to. They sound like they're still very young so don't go trimming anything yet. As you're doing it on the cheap I guess you're using fluoros, if so keep adjusting your lights to about one and a half inches from the top of the plants, that's what's causing the 'long stems' they're stretching toward the light. Staying with cheap, go in B&Q or Wilkinsons and buy liquid Tomato plant food, should only be a couple of quid, it's good enough to start you off. When you get your first crop you can find a hydroponics shop and buy what you need. Water lightly every other day and don't mess with them too much. When you put them under 12-12 light to flower they'll grow to about three times their height so work out how big you want them.

Don't, above all, tell anyone you're growing. Use plug in air fresheners while you're skint to mask the smell from your neighbours but when you can afford one get an ozone generator. It's a very hardy plant and will withstand most newbies while they learn.

We all had to start somewhere m8 Good growing.

If it's the tomato one, yes, ferts aimed at tomatoes are higher in nitrates, which is what you're after.

Not just e-books on here, online grow guides too.....
