Thats a new one. Blood is generally drawn to check for diseases rather than drugs of abuse. Toxins are detectable in the blood for only 48 hours. Thats why urine is used to test for drug metabolites instead of blood.

I thought this was a little weird...is it common for companies to take blood tests to detect drug use? Im not sure when they will give me the test yet, but I have been smoking everyday for the past 2 and a half weeks. Im not too familiar with blood tests...any info would be helpful.
