yeah a lot of people are under the misguided idea that weed is legal / near legal in Canada. It is not... in no way, shape or form. possesion is illegal whether its 1g or 1lb. In most of canada its basically identical to the US.

BUT..

There are a few exceptions:

-Toronto
-Hamilton
-Vancouver

These are the three cities in Canada (major ones) where there is a lot of tolerance for pot. All three have cafe's that allow the public inside to smoke (although they dont sell.. its "byop").

Finding weed in these places is, most of the time, as easy as.. being alive. Just walk through certain places in downtown and people will COME TO YOU!

law enforcement is prety relaxed. Dont expect anything more than a slap on the wrist.. ever. Seed selling is ignored by police, moderate quantities.. at worst.. are confiscated and your on your way. People caught with 100+ plant grows routinely only recieve community service, or a couple of months.
