Yes but the butane is far more explosive in potential is it not? I know you can make golden honey oil......but I have read the procedure of using butane is definately more dangerous.

Just for the record, I dont enjoy games of russian roulette

Yes leaves will work, but the oil is only as strong as the goodies from the salad. You do need some good bud to kick up the potentcy.....

Bumping this up for a reason...I forgot the reason...oh, yeah, I finished using HD's recipe and am now recovering from sampling it. I used a bunch of cuttings, including some decent stuff from the female I recently killed.

Be careful not to overcook, which was my only mistake. Definitely a burned taste, but that was my fault.

Five oz of cuttings only produced about two teaspoons of oil, if that.

I sampled some on a small bud in a pipe, which is probably the best way. But then I put some crushed bud on a tile cutting board and used a knife the mix it in. A little bit goes a long way...then I rolled a few blunts.

The only downside is that my fingers seem permanently stained and I have to pry anything I pick up out of my hands. But I seem to recall this was really cool after a few hits.

Good post...just a side note, you can get honey oil using just iso and not butane, but you dont get as much oil as harddon's method (which I have used for a while previous to this method). Basically what he said about the iso extracting all the other things such as chlorophyl is very true, but you can keep it to a minimum by soaking the oil for a lot shorter of a period.

What I do is use the cut off 1 or 2 liter bottle bottom, fill it up with weed/bunk/etc..., then fill it up with enough iso to cover the weed, put it in the freezer for 10 mins, no longer. Take it out, strain it once only, any more and your just taking out chlorophyl which will turn your oil green and you wont get honey oil. Boil it down on just barly a simmer, when the iso gets low, keep taking it off as the iso starts to bubble from simmering, as it gets even lower, move the pot around so it burns off evenly (takes practice), take it off at just the right moment, use razor blade to scrape off oil. With a lighter, you can manipulate the oil to drip off the blade without losing any, but I would try that with just a little first, its really easy to burn it, then its no good. Anything I didn't mention, I do the same as harddon posted.

I went over to a friends house with a half shopping bag of bunk wanting to make oil, he showed me how to do it this way once and I have always made it this way ever since and have always gotten golden oil everytime, some times are better than others, but overall it turns out awsome.

Give it a try, tell me what you think. I'll make some if my grow turns out well and post pics.

In high times they used to sell an iso 2. Which was almost the same process. Much like an old coffee perculator. When you got to the dark green oil you can turn that into honey oil. It's been a long time. You take the dark green oil and mix it with a pint or so of water. I know WATER are you f ' ing crazy, NO. Shake it up real good. real good . I know it sound nuts. Now strain it through a coffee filter, the filter turns green and looks like you lost everything,but all you lost is the chlorophil and shit. Now put it back in the pot and evaperate the water, be very careful this time and you will end up with a honey colored oil much stronger and clean. Honey oil and no butane to blow your ass up. It takes large amount of weed material to make much of anything. The better the weed the better the oil. I sold the iso 2 to my dealer but I think I kept the instuctions a long with Tim Leary's formula for LSD. I can post it but it takes a mad science lab to make it , that's why it is mostly made at college's they got the lab. I don't know if they still sell the iso 2 machine been years since I have seen a hightimes.
