easyier method

fill a drinks bottle with bud leaf or trim
poke several small holes in the lid about 3mm diameter
get 2/3 cans of butane for filling lighters or camping
drill a hole that you can put the butane can through
if they give you the adaptors with the can drill a hole for that then put the can into the adaptor
you have to pump the butane through the bud

do it into a pyrex dish let butane evaporate do this outside and do not smoke

I have one question though about it if you don't mind . I had a friend, a stupid friend, who decided to do a butane oil run, IN HIS HOUSE if you can believe it. To make a long story short, the gas filled up in his house and he was caught in the middle of a flashfire. 3rd deg burns over 30% of his body. Now, I've never tried a butane run, never will now, but is using Iso inside not a good idea. I mean, I have done it before, no problems, but now I'm a little paranoid.

When I evaporate my Iso/oil, I do it on the electric stove, with the exaust fan on full blast to suck the fumes up. I wear a mask while doing this, because the stink is horendous. But is that enough ventilation to suck all of the Iso up and not risk a flash fire? The thing is, I have an outdoor burner I could use, but it is propane and has an open flame on it, so I don't really want to use it. Should I burn it outside then, or will inside be alright? Thanks bro!

NO matter inside or out, you are correct...NEVER expose to open flame. NEVER.

Also, this inside of the house on the stove with the air drawing exhaust is a dangerous proposition.

I have done it....cuz I was a fool....

I would never do it again.

A refridgerator coming on, a light bulb blowing out....

anything at all can cause the flash explosion.

Yes it can be done, but it is a dangerous game.

The $25.00 spent at wal mart for the portable electric stove top so you can do outside is far better than risking life and limb.

The freezer acts as a stabilizer.

It concentates the trichs so the alcohol has less surface area to have to work on.

One of the drawbacks of an alcohol hash oil make up is it can draw far more than the pure THC from the weed.

It acts as a solvent on the nutes, the chlorophyll and everything else.

Keeping the weed parts cold limits the extraction of the impurities to a degree. It just makes for a purer oil than say room temp solvent would.
