Ok here's some advice for people who might have to do this indoors. DO NOT DO THIS INDOORS. I don't recommend it. But if you have to for whatever reason then this is how I would do it. I found this method on the 'net and have tried it more than once in an apartment for very small amounts of oil. Small means 1oz or less, and you'll probably net enough oil for 3 days to a week depending how much you smoke and how much you show off to your friends!

Get yourself one of those glass pots with a glass lid, I forget exactly what they are called maybe someone here knows. Here's a photo of one I found on google's image search:



You'll also need:

• ice cubes, 1/2 tray to a tray will do
• a small bowl or container that will not melt
• i really recommend a spatula to get all the oil off everything, but to each their own

Follow HARDON's instructions up until you actually start boiling the mixture. What you do at this point is place the non-melting bowl in the middle of the pot, right in the mixture. Now you put the lid on the pot upside down and fill it with ice. Start boiling and watch the iso vapour condense on the lid and drip into your bowl in the middle. As a bonus, you can reuse this iso if you like. I always boil this stuff on the absolute lowest temperature it will boil at as well. On my stove that's on 1 or 2 out of 10.

What I am advising is a terrible idea! If any iso vapour gets out in your kitchen of all places and the fridge motor starts you very well could be fucked! In fact I'm quite sure there are things on your stove that could ignite any iso vapour. It's worth stating again that I do not recommend that anyone do this.

You still have to be careful as some iso vapour will get out! I probably won't do this when people are over again because you just never know of they'll do something stupid. It can be boring to sit and wait so I suggest watching the thing, just in case. If you're doing something this dangerous inside then you need to be so much more careful, I can't stress that enough.

Make sure you get a good buzz before you start when it's safe to light a lighter.

I've always done the 10-min soak as well, and only one soak. next time I am going to try the longer soak in the freezer (and freeze the iso before hand) to see if I can get some more oil out of it. the stuff i made was very chronic, so i could sacrifice a little bit of quality for some more to show off to friends. in ontario this stuff was all i smoked as a kid. we would rarely buy pot because this went much further. Do bottle tokes with your oil! Put a bit on the heater of a joint or smoke and hold it in a bottle with a small hole in the side. fill with smoke, when the white smoke stops pull out the cig/doobie and then take the lid off and inhale. good times! :jointsmile:

Good job on the oil ive been making it just like u said except for a couple exceptions... Heres how i do it....

#1- throw 99% alcohol and clippings(i use more bud than shake but its expensive...yet way worth it) into the freezer to chill for 20 mins
#2- While waiting take a CLEAN 2litre pop bottle and cut the top off it where the bottle stops curving
#3- After 20 mins take alcohol and clippings out... Place the top portion of the bottle upside down(opposite as it was as normal) and take 1 piece of silk/coffee filter whatever u want that will strain ur clippings and place in the upside down top section
#4- Take just enough clippings and place them ontop of the filter in the top...
#5- Slowly!!!!! Slowly pour ur alcohol over the clippings until they are overed and just under all the alcohol...It now will just drip into the inside of the big portion f the bottle for collection...
#6- As soon as the drips from the top have stopped i repeat step #5 three times (or even less if the green starts soaking in) with the same alcohol that was used the first time...
#7- Take the collected and tastey golden color alcohol and boil as said by Harddon basically the same way as Harddon said from here on... I boil on #2 on my little stove so itdoes not need to be hot at all

A good tip when finising when it wont light up in ur face HAHA dont do this till u have made this a couple times and have some clue when its done!!!!!! please no flame near it until u have some clue!!! I also just leave my oil in the pyrex dish i use upside down so stuff does not fall in it.... i dont think i can do this the 24hr way itll drip

If you are talking aobut this recipe...and you are puking and burning your throat...you didn't allow the catalyst to evaporate well enough

I tried the coffee filter hash trick a while back with the garbage leaves. The first attempt I saw some greenish/brownish yuck at the bottom and thought: "You can't smoke that crap" and threw it away. A couple of weeks later when I was dry, I took the remaining garbage trim and had another go. Same result at the end, and I thought: "This will never work, but what the hell, I'll try anyway", so I rolled it up, and BANG! It was tastier and stronger than the actual buds. I'm looking forward even more to the next hash round than the actual buds now...
