Shrooms aren't necessarily less powerful than acid, it's just that people usually take doses of shrooms that make them trip on a lower plateau than they do with acid. Large doses of shrooms can cause very powerful trips. I have done acid, shrooms, and mescaline(from cacti, nearly all "mescaline" sold in pills is not really mescaline). The only one I've ever had ego loss from is mushrooms--on 4 grams panaeolous cyanescans, and 2.5 grams of the same + an maoi. Both times I was alone. I really prefer being alone in a sensory deprivation environment when tripping.

I've heard about bad trips, but I've never had one, even though I've tripped a lot on high doses. Whenever crazy shit happens(like limbs snapping off), it's not scary like it would be in real life. Laughing at demons is fun...and so is swallowing your own head...
