I have a method that I have been using that I get great results from. I usually get between 75 - 95% Germenation rate with this simple set-up.

Items Needed:

1. Approx 10"x10"x3" square glad ware container
2. Seeds & Paper Towel
3. Heat Pad (Optional)

Steps:

I use a version of the paper towel method.
1. Soak seeds in water for 24 hours
2. I take a gladware container (10"x10"x3" Approx. Size) and put a few 1/4" holes in the top.
3. Take 2 paper towels one on top of the other and then fold it 2 times so you have 1/4 of the original paper towel size.
4. Wet paper towel till slightly damp and place 4 - 5 seeds spaced evenely on wet paper towel and then fold it over the seeds so they have the wet paper towel on both sides.
5. Place 2 or 3 sets of papertowel/seeds into the glad container. (There should be no standing water in the contain. If so you have your paper towel too wet.)
6. Place Lid
7. Place on heat pad set to low ( I us a heating pad made for reptiles that you place under the cage for this, it works really well!).
8. Place in dark area and check every 6-12 hours (Make sure the paper towel does not dry out.)
9. Once the seed breaks open and the tap root is about 1/4 - 3/8" long remove from paper towel and place in dirt with tap root and and top covered by about 1/8" - 1/4" soil.
10. Smoke a J!

Note: It is important to keep the papertowels wet. With the heat of the heating pad it will tend to dry them out faster than normal. Don't keep the paper towel too wet either or that will promote mold. You should be able to ring it out a little bit and a little water will come out but just a little bit.

I have had good luck with this method and not using a heating pad, but my germ rates when way up when I added the heating pad.

Good Luck
