    Help, spotting and yellowing leaves...

I saved this baby once, it grew to tall to fast and I was able to save it... now the leaves are getting spots on them and then the leaves turn yellow then brown and die... I am currently using miracle grow potting soil, peters 15-30-15 and just recently started trying 1 tablespoon of epsom salt per gallon of water thinking that is has an Mg problem. Any ideas?

why is it so hacked up? u should let any discolored leaves fall off themselves.. and avoid the miracle grow, try a standard bag of soil and some perlite. also, give organics a try... they're much easier on the plant. with chems your basically force feeding ur plant, with organics the plant can take however much of each nutrient it needs. just start a compost and get some bat guano or other fertilizer

"with chems your basically force feeding ur plant"...wrong, you can't force feed mj at all, it takes the nutes it wants when itwants,w/ the exception of ypou changing light cycles, then mj adjust to the shock and takes what nutes it wants...that is why we change iur nutes in htdro every week, because the plant at different stages uptakes more of some nutes than others...Imho

    Fan leaves serve several purposes....

They store nitrogen and nutrients for flowering.

They assist the plant in regulating temerature on cellular levels.

The absorb sunlight and process that light to energy for the plant.

There is a very very very very fine line.....

Cut off one to many and you shall destroy your plant....

    INternal temp control is gone....
Solar energy can no longer be harnessed.

Trimming / thinning of fan leaves can be done....but as I said...go one leaf too far and its a gonner.

There is no margin for error....thus....only seasoned growers should mess with them, and, most seasoned growers wont touch them.

If they are mold infected, they must go however.

Are you in the veg stage? Looks like you are and using 15-30-15 is the wrong fert to be using, as well as the Miracle Grow soil. Avoid MG at all costs, no good for growing the green.

It has most likely a Nitrogen def. Give that plant the food it needs. It needs something high in N(N-P-K) during this stage. Good luck.
