If you do it in quick pulses for a few seconds, a nug'll bust it up really good but won't make it powdery, and thus impossible to roll. I just fucking hate breaking up with my hands. It's so time consuming, which is why I stick to KB. I'll always have this conversation with my father where he's like "Well, I don't want to break it up" and I say "Well, I don't either." Then, like a lightbulb going off, "Coffee grinder!" Just don't overdo it, and take it in baby steps. Powder isn't good for anything but cooking.

Just get some little scissors and cut it up not hard and you dont get it all over your hands ladies.

scissors just dont compare to a coffee grinder, or buster as we call em around here. Sure if u have bone dry shit scissors work fine but when u get that fresh shit or rock hard buds, a buster fluffs it out so nicely. Ive had weed many times that busts out to twice as big of a pile in the buster as it did when cut with scissors. the best part is, after ur done smokin u can take a brush to the inside of the buster and pack all that beautiful crystal into a pipe or wutever it may be. if its ur first time smokin crystal u mite wanna take it easy as the shit is harsh as a motherfucker and gets yer brain some fucked. ur proboly thinkin well if all that crystal sticks in the buster then the weed must loose alot of potency...well ive never noticed a difference neither has anyone else i know. giver a try

The one problem is that it is a bitch to scrape and scrape that shit off - and it goes in every fucking nook and cranny in your grinder. Those little wooden grinders aren't bad, they even fit in your pocket sometimes.

take apart one of those mini personal fans and rip the foam/plastic off the metal blades, and then screw the top of a small box onto it, (i used a pencil shaver box since the top twists on and off) and you have a great, portable grinder that fits in your pocket.

How much i want to grind the weed depends on the situation. i dont usually grind mids and schwagg, but with nugget if i want to smoke quickly, or i feel like having one monstrous hit, i will grind it almost into a powder and one good hit will kill the bowl, which, though it sounds wasteful, will be a MASSIVE hit which will get you insanely high in a matter of seconds.

i just roll the bud around in my fingers, so the light fluffy stuff comes off and falls into my bowl, and i'm still holding the stems and seeds.
